Adisseo

Our Corporate Social Responsibility approach

By 2050, the world’s population is expected to reach close to 10 billion. How will we feed all the people on the planet?
Adisseo’s commitment is clear : Contribute to supplying the world with healthy, high-quality and affordable food based on principles of sustainability.

Adisseo is at the centre of the chain of production of animal proteins. The very essence of our work is to improve the conversion process from plant proteins to animal proteins.

Sustainability is a crucial component of the company’s strategy. In this context, our sustainability efforts are based on 5 major areas of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):

  • Everyone must be an actor! So we need to engage all employees and all our stakeholders with our vision.
  • Ensure the health, safety and well-being of employees and local communities through a responsible and safe production.
  • Identify and reduce and compensate environmental impacts to preserve natural resources and reach carbon neutrality in 2050 at the latest
  • Promote access to healthy, qualitative and sustainable food by knowing the end-consumer expectations and co-developing with our customers sustainable solutions
  • Build the future for the next generations by investing in innovation and science.

Our SD Report, published yearly, summarizes the Group’s objectives and achievements based on these 5 core areas. This report contributes to build trust with stakeholders based on transparency, benevolence and integrity.

The responsible care initiative

In 1990, Adisseo decided to support actively the “Responsible Care” initiative, in applying all its principles throughout the world. The “Responsible Care” initiative is a joint undertaking of the global chemical industry for the safe management of chemicals throughout their lifecycle, while promoting their role in improving quality of life and in contributing to sustainable development. This commitment is regularly renewed.
