Context and challenges of the position
Directly reporting to the Ruminant Director EMEA within our Sales Business Unit, you are working on an Italian perimeter. As an expert in amino acid formulation for Ruminants, you influence the market on the virtues of Amino Acids (AA) balancing and the practical AA formulation strategies to maximize value for the dairy producers and the feed and premix companies. You represent Adisseo in the ruminant scientific network and with technical authorities.
Missions of the job
Technically support all products in Adisseo’s ruminant portfolio. This includes developing strategies to promote and expand the use of current products, contribute to the technical positioning, and realization of technical marketing documents and the technical development of new market niches for existing products.
Provide technical support to feed customers or prescribers to develop sales of the Ruminant Product Portfolio in coordination with Ruminant Technical Sales Managers.
Contribute to technical positioning of products and to technical marketing documents.
Make presentations at professional and customer conferences and contribute to writing technical articles for the popular press.
Manage field trials, some directly and some in support of Technical Support Managers
Keep Ruminant Director abreast of relevant scientific information impacting the market
Ph.D. or master’s degree in Dairy Science, Metabolism, Physiology or related subject.
5 years’ experience in selling technical product or process. Expertise in amino acid formulation for ruminants
Professional knowledge of amino acid balancing and at least one formulation software for ruminants (INRA, DVE, CNCPS, NRC, customer company software, etc)
Thorough knowledge of the ruminant nutrition business in territory
Practical knowledge/work experience of ruminant production systems.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work well in both a team environment and autonomously.
Advanced computer skills, comfortable with using statistical packages such as SAS
