Large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea) is an economically important marine fish with considerable production in southeast China.
Aqualyso®, specifically developed for aquatic species, is a digestive and metabolic enhancer that promotes growth via emulsification and optimization of nutrient absorption and utilization.
A new research led by the Ocean University of China entitled “Effects of dietary lysolecithin on growth performance, serum biochemical indexes, antioxidant capacity, lipid metabolism and inflammation-related genes expression of juvenile large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea)” has been published in Fish and Shellfish Immunology (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.fsi.2022.07.020).
This study demonstrated that Aqualyso® effectively promotes the growth and hepatic health of juvenile large yellow croaker. Such effects were mainly associated with an optimization of lipid absorption and utilization, enhanced hepatic antioxidant capacity, and the beneficial regulation of the inflammatory response.
