China Feed Amino Acid and Feed Raw Material Implication Symposium 2019 (CFARIS 2019), grandly opened. Adisseo Invited experts shared the practices and experience of low protein diets in Europe.
On March 27, 2019, “China Feed Amino Acid and Feed Raw Material Implication Symposium 2019 (CFARIS 2019)”, hosted by China animal husbandry and veterinary society and organized by Beijing boyar agriculture and animal husbandry technology Co., Ltd, was grandly opened at Yulong international hotel in Beijing.
Nearly 500 representatives from government departments, industry associations, domestic and foreign amino acid manufacturers, protein raw material suppliers, feed enterprises, integrators, large traders, scientific research institutions, securities companies and media attended the event.
Mr. Eric Paillard, global methionine sales director of Adisseo, the sponsor of this seminar, attended the opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Invited by Adisseo as guest speaker, Mr. Thierry Mener, head of Nutrition and R&D at Cooperl, 1st swine integrator in France with 5,6 million pigs produced, is in charge on the R&D, definition of the feeding program, formulation, additives purchase, nutrition advice of the technical team and export manager for the feed industry.
Mr. Mener presented an overview of current practices, aiming to reduce protein content in swine feed formulation, while keeping a high performance level. He shared the concept of formulation on Net Energy and Standard Ileal Digestibility, but also growth modelization with definition of the lysine needs according to swine weight and sex (female, castrated male or entire male). This allows Multiphase feeding.
The use of NIR technology to assess raw materials quality was also widely explained. This routine measurement aims to allot raw materials to reduce feed variability. Finally, a concept of individual feeding was introduced and could be the next step for precise nutrition. This approach will reduce Nitrogen waste in the environment.
