Bacillus subtilis DSM 29784 is the result of a strict selection of more than 900 AAFCO-listed strains to provide stability, effectiveness, functionality and safety (no antibiotic resistance genes and non-hemolytic) in order to preserve the overall health and welfare of the animals.

The stability and ability of Alterion® to timely germinate allows it to be efficiently active in the intestine, where it acts at three levels: firstly, on the intestinal wall, by improving the gut barrier function, the size of the villi and the absorption of nutrients; secondly, on the microbiota, by balancing the microbial populations in favour of beneficial ones and thirdly, on the immune system, by reducing inflammation process.
