Toulouse, October 14, 2026 – On the occasion of CINABio’s 20th anniversary, its biotechnology research center based in Toulouse, Adisseo celebrates two decades of scientific excellence, high-level partnerships and innovation in support of ever more efficient and sustainable animal nutrition.
Created in 2006 on the INSA Toulouse campus, CINABio embodies Adisseo’s conviction that science, biotechnological expertise and cooperation with the best research ecosystems are key drivers in preparing the future of the sector.
For the past twenty years, CINABio has helped identify, test and optimize innovative biotechnology-based solutions, particularly in the field of enzymes and bioprocesses. Rooted in an academic environment of excellence, the center illustrates Adisseo’s ability to build its development over the long term, at the crossroads of fundamental research, applied innovation and industrial ambition. This positioning has helped sustainably strengthen the Group’s technology portfolio and support the transformation of the sector towards solutions that are more effective, more competitive and more respectful of resources.
“Innovation is one of the essential drivers of Adisseo’s long-term development and competitiveness. For twenty years, CINABio has played a decisive role in strengthening our scientific excellence, fostering breakthrough research and developing the technological foundations that will support our future growth. Thanks to its recognized expertise in biotechnology and the strength of its collaborations with academic and industrial partners, CINABio perfectly illustrates how science can create lasting value for our customers, our industry and more sustainable animal nutrition.”
Dr. Hao Zhigang, CEO of Adisseo
This innovation dynamic is reflected in the development of high value-added solutions for livestock sectors. It is particularly aligned with Adisseo’s expertise in animal nutrition enzymes, illustrated by the Rovabio® range, designed to improve the digestibility of plant-based raw materials, optimize nutrient use and contribute to more sustainable animal production. While it cannot be reduced to a single product, CINABio’s scientific legacy demonstrates this ability to transform cutting-edge research into useful, high-performance innovations that can be directly applied in the field.
“For 20 years, CINABio has fully illustrated the way Adisseo approaches innovation: demanding innovation, rooted in scientific excellence, open to its ecosystem and focused on concrete applications for livestock sectors. Through solutions such as Rovabio®, we can see how biotechnology research can translate into tangible benefits for our customers in terms of performance, nutritional efficiency and sustainability. This anniversary therefore celebrates much more than a research site: it highlights a long-term vision dedicated to useful innovation.”
Laurent Desrousseaux, CINABio Director
“At INSA Toulouse, we are convinced that major transitions require breaking down silos between areas of expertise and building long-term partnerships. The presence of CINABio on our campus for the past twenty years is a strong illustration of this: it brings to life, every day, the links between research, education and industry, and helps make our campus a place where knowledge is transformed into innovation and concrete solutions.”
Alexandra Bertron, Director of INSA Toulouse
By celebrating the 20th anniversary of CINABio, Adisseo reaffirms its commitment to investing sustainably in research, accelerating innovation in biotechnology and developing, together with its partners, solutions that contribute to high-quality, affordable, safe and sustainable animal nutrition. This anniversary is part of a broader ambition: to support the major transitions of the sector by combining science, performance and responsibility.
