Palatability, driving feed intake and aquafeed performance

Fish meal is an excellent source of nutrients, appetence and health factors. However, due to fluctuation of its availability and price, besides considerations on the sustainable use of marine resources, alternative protein sources are increasingly used in aquafeed formulations.

When palatability meets performance

Replacing fishmeal results in the reduction of the soluble functional protein and therefore will decrease feed attractability and palatability. This leads to lower feed consumption, reduced consumption of digestible protein and energy, and in consequence inferior performance and feed efficiency.
Adisseo, in collaboration with leading suppliers of marine ingredients, has developed its Pepsea line with emphasis on a highly standardized product quality through a strict control of the raw material source and the hydrolysis process.

Unlock sustainable feed performance with premium bioactive peptides

Pepsea is a highly concentrated marine peptide solution designed to replace functional fishmeal protein and enhance feed attractability. Two liquid products are currently offered: Pepsea F is originating from anchovy fish, and Pepsea S is shrimp origin. Both are year-round availability, supports sustainable marine resource use, and are cost-effective and easy to use. Pepsea improves feed intake, palatability, growth on low fishmeal diets, and promotes better gut and liver health for fish and shrimp.
