Enhancing milk yield and components

Enhancing milk yield and components will benefit farmers, consumers, and the environment. Higher yields increase profitability, while better fat and protein content improves dairy product quality.

Sustainable practices, such as optimized nutrition, boost efficiency and reduce environmental impact. By focusing on milk quality and production efficiency, the dairy industry can meet growing global demands for dairy products while ensuring economic and environmental sustainability.

Milk quality and production efficiency optimization

At Adisseo, we are committed to optimizing milk quality and production efficiency by providing precise amino acid (AA) balancing solutions for dairy cows.

  • Our approach includes: Rumen-Protected Methionine (Smartamine® M, MetaSmart®)
  • Ensures optimal protein synthesis, enhancing milk yield, butterfat, and protein content while reducing nitrogen waste.

We are also commited to fight against milk fat depression with RumenSmart.

Through innovative amino acid solutions, we help dairy farmers achieve higher milk quality, better herd performance, and a more sustainable dairy industry.

AA Balancing benefits on milk production

Over the last three decades, Adisseo has established itself as the leader in AA nutrition thought protected methionine products for the ruminant market. This success results from the exceptional quality of its products and its extensive knowledge of amino acid nutrition. This knowledge was gained during years of research with universities and partners across the globe.

The dairy animal needs AA as building blocks for the synthesis of all the proteins required by the body for optimal function and for secretion of milk protein. This ranges from the synthesis of enzymes involved in metabolism to the production of proteins in muscle and milk. Therefore, it is no surprise that dairy cows fed AA balanced rations are healthier but also maximize milk yield and energy corrected milk (ECM) due of the enhanced secretion of both milk protein and milk fat.

A compilation of the 25 trials (33 treatments) initiated by Adisseo in the past 30 years shows an average improvement in dairy:

  • Average ECM: +1.7 kg/d
  • Milk fat +83 g
  • Milk protein +59 g
