Personal data protection policy

Adisseo, as an international player in animal nutrition, collects and processes personal data in the context of its industrial, commercial, institutional and internal management activities. ADISSEO cares about protecting  the personal data of its customers, suppliers, partners, employees and any person visiting its website. All processing on your personal data is done in accordance with applicable regulations, especially Regulation ( EU) 2016/679 ( the General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR), French law N). 78-17 of January 6, 1978 on data protection, and any other national data protection laws. 

This privany policy is to inform you:

  • On the identity of the data controller and the purposes of the data processing;
  • On the legal basis for processing the data;
  • Whether the collection of data is mandatory or optional and the types of personal data processed;
  • On the source of the data (when other data provided through the online service is used to process your request);
  • On the categories of data subject;
  • On thedata recipient;
  • On the data retention period:
  • On security measures;
  • On possible data transfers outside the European Union;
  • On your rights in this regard, in compliance with the European and French legislation applicable to ADISSEO and the way in which they are exercised.

If you disagree with the terms of this policy, you are free not to provide any personal data. You are nevertheless warned that the communication of some of this data conditions access to the services and that in the absence of this communication, certain functionalities and services may be degraded.

1. What are we talking about? 

The following terms shall have the following meanings:

"Personal Data" means any information relating to a person who is identified or can be identified; 

"Data Processing" means an action performed on personal data, such as collecting, recording, organizing, storing, modifying, extracting, using, sharing, or deleting data;

"Data Controller" is the legal or natural person who decides why and how the data is processed.

"Data Processor" is the person or organization processing data on behalf of the Data Controller.

"Authorized Third Party" refers to the public authority or organization that can access certain data when the law allows it.

2. Who is the data controller of personal data?

3. What types  of personal data are processed? 

In general, Adisseo may collect personal data from customers, suppliers, partners, employees and website users.

More specifically, the personal data that may be collected are mainly:

  • Identify and contact details: Name, surname, business email address, telephone number, country.
  • Professional data: resume, cover letter, experience, certificate, company, position ( especially for recruitment).
  • Connection and traffic data: IP address, connection logs, cookies, website navigation.
  • Other categories of data: messages sent through contact forms, attached files (...)

In the context of video protection and video surveillance :

Your image may be recorded by our video protection / video surveillance cameras installed at ADISSEO Sites in order to protect people and property.

This processing is based on ADISSEO's legitimate interest in ensuring the safety of its customers, suppliers, partners, employees and any person present on its sites equipped with video protection cameras.

Only trained Adisseo security staff can view the real-time image. They cannot save or edit it.The images are strored securely and only a few authorized people can access them. In case of a legal issue, they may be shared with the police.

The images will be kept for a total period not exceeding one month.

4. Why do we process personal data? 

The main purposes of processing are as follows:

  • Handling contact and requests for information via website forms;
  • External and institutional communication, including sending information about the group's products, services, events or activities;
  • Managing contracts and business relationship with customers, prospects, suppliers, partners or distributors;
  • IT system security, including access control, logging, intrusion prevention and security incident management;
  • Legal compliance, in partciular in tax, social, customs or environmental matters;
  • Recruitment and management of job applications, as part of the creation of a talent poll or the processing of recruitment files;
  • Training and human resources management, including monitoring career paths and training activities;
  • Security of offices and equipment, especially through video surveillance systems installed for safety reasons;
  • Complying with legal and regulatory obligation;
  • Producing statistics and audits used to improve services or evaluate digital performance. 

5. What is the legal basis for using data? 

The processing of personal data carried out by Adisseo is based, depending on the circumstances and purposes, on one of the following legal bases:

  • The performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject's request ( contract management, application processing, recruitment, management of suppliers or customers)
  • Compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation,particulary in relation to tax, social security, accounting, customs or environmental matters;
  • The consent of the data subject, particularly  for certain marketing communications and  the collection of data via web forms;
  • Adisseo's legitimate interest, such as the security of its information systems, the optimization of its business, institutional communication, the protection of its legal rights in court, (...).

6. How and for how long is personal data stored?

7. Who can have access to personal data? 

Personal data may be shared with:

  1. Adisseo's internal departments, which are strictly authorized to access it in accordance with their responsabilities and in compliance with the specified purposes;
  2. Thirt-party subcontractors and service providers (IT service providers, hosting providers, recruitment agencies, etc.) offering sufficient guarantees in terms of security and compliance with the GDPR;
  3. Third parties authorized in accordance with the legislation in effect (judicial, administrative or tax authorities) ias part of their specific missions or the right to communicate information provided for by law;
  4. Adisseo Group Companies located outside France, within the limits of their respective powers and for the specified purposes only.

8. Are Data transfered outside the EU? 

In the context of its international organization, some personal data may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area, in particular to Adisseo's subsidiaries or service providers established outisde EU ( in particular China, United Arab Emirates, United States, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam, Brazil, Canada, United Kingdom, Hong Kong). These transfers are governed by appropriate guarantees, such as the European Commission's strandard contractual clauses or any other measure compliant with GDPR ensuring an adequante level of protection.

9. How do we secure personal data? 

Based on current  knowledge, technological developments, implemntation costs, the nature, scope, context and purposes of the processing of the data to be protected, as well as the risks to the rights and freedoms of individuals, Adisseo implements all appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the confidentiality of the personal data collected and a level of security appropriate to the risk.

10. How can you exercise your rights and who to contact? 

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data, you have several rights, which vary depending on the legal basis on which your data is processed:

  • Right of access: you have the right to ask the data controller to access information about you, to know the origin of the information and to obtain a copy of it;
  • Right of rectification: you have the right to request that your data be rectified, completed or updated;
  • Right to erasure: you have the right to request the deletion of your data;
  • Right to object: you can object to the processing of your data for legitimate grounds, with some exceptions;
  • Right to portability: you have the right to recover the personal data you have provided to Adisseo in a machine-readable format and then transfer it to another company, except in certains cases;
  • Right to restriction: You may request that the processing of your data be blocked for a certain period of time, except in certain cases.

In the context of these requests and in order to prevent identify fraud, please note that we may ask you to provide vaid ID. 

If, after contacting us, you feel that your rights regarding your personal data have not been  respected, you can send a claim to the CNI, the data protection supervisory authority in France.
