Adisseo is part of the feed /food value chain by delivering nutritional solutions that enhance both the performance and sustainability of animal production systems.
Although Adisseo's feed additives represent a small part of total feed volume, they play a critical role in optimizing diets , improving feed efficiency, and supporting animal health and welfare.
This results in better growth performance, reduced resource consumption, and lower environmental impacts per unit of animal product.
Through its recognized expertise in animal nutrition and engineering, Adisseo also offers a suite of services and digital tools that help customers formulate more sustainable feed strategies.
These services empower customers to reduce their environmental footprint - particularly greenhouse gas emissions, nitrogen and phosphorus pollution, and dependency on imported raw materials - while maintening high levels of productivity and profitability.
By combining innovative products with science-based services, Adisseo supports the transition towards a more responsible and efficient livestock sector.
This contributes not only to the success of its customers, but also to global sustainability objectives such as food security, climate mitigation and the responsible use of natural resources.
Adisseo enhances animal production performance and sustainability through its products and services
At Adisseo, we believe that Innovation and Collaboration are key to sustainable progress.
By integrating LCAs into our business, supporting customers with science-based services, and designing products that reduce GHG emissions and resource use, we are helping the feed and food value chain become more resilient and environmentally responsible.
We are proud to align our actions with the UN Sustainable Developement Goals and will continue to invest in solutions that make a real difference.
In 2023, Adisseo launched the TRACE project, our structured approach to assessing and reducing the environmental impact of our products and their use in livestock farming.
This two-step methodology allows us to evaluate both:
Cradle to Plant Gate: Environmetal impacts of Adisseo's feed additives production.
Cradle to Grave: Total impact of our products within livestock value chains, including feed efficiency and on-farm emissions.
Adisseo uses the FAO LEAP guidelines and the EU PEFCR, and collaborates with the Global Feed LCA Institute ( GLFI)
Today, LCAs cover 95% of our turnover and each product LCA includes a Data Quality Rate ( DQR)
