ESG GOVERNANCE

At Adisseo, Sustainability is fully embedded into our vision, missions, and business strategy. Our ESG governance structure ensures a clear, coordinated approach across all levels of the organization, reinforcing our long-term commitment to responsible growth.

At Board level, the Strategic & ESG Committee reviews ESG progress as part of the company’s strategic planning process and receives regular updates on key sustainability topics.

At the operational/corporate level, a central sustainability team oversees the development and monitoring of ESG initiatives, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements such as GRI, CSRD, and the UN SDGs. This team works in close coordination with a cross-functional group composed of senior representatives from all major departments. Each representative is tasked with embedding sustainability into their area of responsibility.

Additionally, designated sustainability contacts are appointed at each production site to tailor and implement ESG actions locally.​

From board-level decision-making to day-to-day operations, our ESG governance model ensures a seamless integration of ESG principles across the entire company.

 

Ethics and Compliance in business

To guide our teams and business partners in making responsible decisions, Adisseo has adopted a Code of Ethics, publicly available.

This document sets the foundation for our principles of integrity, fairness, and respect across all activities and geographies.

In addisiton Adisseo developed an internal  Conduct of Conduct that details expected behaviors and supports employees in handling situations such a sconflicts of interest, confidentiality , and responsible business practices.

To ensure these values and well understood and applied throughout the company, mandatory trainings on Ethics and Anti-Corruption is regularly deployed to identify ans prevent unethical condtc, reinforcing our zero-tolerance approach to corruption ans other forms of misconduct.

The respect of these rules is ensure by a community of " Local Compliance Officers".

Adisseo put in place a Whistleblowing portal, available for all stakeholders

Sustainable Procurement

We developed a Dual Matriality Map to guide supplier engagement in alignement with our sustainability roadmap. For each purchasing segment, we assess:

  • Risks : Potential negative impacts linked to supplier practices ( e.g safety, labor rights, environment, ethics)
  • Opportunities: Positive contributions suppliers can make towards the UN sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) prioritized by Adisseo.

Each purchasing leaders uses this analysis to define Sustainable Developemnt ( SD) criteria, which are now part of our supplier selection and evaluation process.

Since 2022, Purchasing Team & Leaders are trained and supported by AFNOR, recognized third-party, to enhance their best practices.

 

All suppliers are required to acknowledge and align with our Responsabile Purchasing Charter, which outlines four key commitments:

  • Health & Safety: Protecting workers throughout the value chain.
  • Environmental Responsability: Reducing the footprint of our  xxx and and our partner's operations.
  • Labor rights: Upholding ILO Fundamental Principles and supporting employees development
  • Business Ethics: Ensuring the highest standards of integrity and compliance.

Research & Innovation

Adisseo’s Research & Innovation (R&I) department drives sustainable progress by combining science, technology, and collaboration. With over 300 experts accross 5 centers and 3% of our turnover dedicated to R&I, we turn science into impact.

Reducing Environmental Impact

We develop new technologies to make ourproduction processes more sustainable:​

  • Process intensification and digitalization to lower energy and water use
  • Waste and co-product valorization
  • Low-carbon formulations and bio-based materials
  • Improved feed efficiency to reduce emissions from livestock

In 2024, 71% of innovation investments/budget targeted low-carbon solutions.

Strengthening Leadership in Innovation

We aim to remain a recognized leader in animal nutrition innovation by:

  • Funding academic research ( e.g the Adisseo Research Grant, €2M over 3 years)
  • Partening with start-ups through Innov'L@b ( 430 screened)
  • Contributing to key scientific congresses and publishing widely
  • Filling 37 patent applications in 2024 

Our goal is to deliver customer-driven innovation  and lead the transformation of the animal nutrition field.
