The company Alimentation Equilibrée is founded in Commentry, France by 
Marcel Lingot, a young graduate from the Ecole Polytechnique, who was 
passionate about nutrition and was able to successfully synthesise methionine.

The company is acquired by Rhone-Poulenc, becoming its animal feed Division. It is then able to acquire solid scientific expertise which remains its trademark to this day.

In 1991, Adisseo started producing liquid methionine in its spanish plant at Burgos

Acquired by the investment fund CVC and renamed Adisseo, the company regains its independence and adopts rigorous business standards.

It streamlines its nutrition research activities by consolidating them in Commentry, France at the CERN (Centre for Expertise and Research on Nutrition).

Adisseo joins BlueStar, the leading Chinese company in new chemical materials and specialty chemicals. Through this alliance, it gains strategic support and secures the ideal launching pad to take on the Asian market.

CINAbio, the biotechnology research and development centre in Toulouse, France is created the same year.

Adisseo acquired Innov'Ia, a french company based in La Rochelle and recognized as a key player in different markets through its unique expertise in the field of ingredient formulation.

Its full integration makes this site unique. It includes all intermediate stages of methionine production onsite and has a surface area equivalent to 15 football fields.

Adisseo is the first international company to be listed on the Shanghai stock exchange.

Construction of a new production unit in Burgos (Spain). This new facility is dedicated to the production of Rhodimet® ADRY +, a new form of methionine powder, obtained from liquid methionine, launched on the market in 2018.

Adisseo acquires NUTRIAD, global producer of feed additives which are highly complementary to that of Adisseo. This will quickly enable the company to offer customers integrated solutions that provide them with greater value.

Adisseo acquired FRAmelco, a multinational group headquartered in The Netherlands,
Most of FRAmelco sales are made of Glycerides (short and medium chain fatty acids) to maintain animal in good health and to improve animal performance and Lysolecithins to improve feed digestibility.
 

Sinochem Holdings Corporation Ltd. (Sinochem Holdings) was established through the joint restructuring of Sinochem Group Co., Ltd. and China National Chemical Corporation Ltd. on May 8, 2021.

Start up of the 2nd methionine plant in Nanjing, that means that Adisseo Nanjing plant double its methionine capacity to 350,000 tons.

It consolidates Adisseo's leading position in methionine globally while laying a solid industrial foundation for boosting the penetration of liquid methionine in the
Chinese market and gloablly.

In 2023 Adisseo acquired Nor-Feed, a french leader in functionnal plant extracts for animal nutrition.

New milestone in 2022 for research and innovation with the opening of a dedicated innovation platform in China. This platform brings together the following expertises: analysis, chemistry, biotechnology, as well as expertise in nutrition and engineering.

In November 2023, ELISE (European Labs for Innovation, Science and Expertise) is inaugurated.

Located in the french Chemistry Valley near Lyon, ELISE benefits from a robust industrial and academic eco-system, fostering collaboration and innovation.
