As Quality Manager you are accountable for the global performance of the Quality Assurance system of the Specialties SBU and manage the quality network of the SBU, based on 3 communities: in-house plant, subcontractors and customers’ representatives.

The scope of the position includes around 20 production plants, in-house or subcontracted, several processes (chemicals, blends, natural extracts, fermentation), 6 commercial regions, and a diverse and multicultural team.


Your main missions are:

Improve customer satisfaction:

  • Define and follow global QA/QC KPI and build a close cooperation with business teams (at SBU and Regions levels) to catch all feedback coming from customers, make them visible inside SBU Operations and provide concrete solutions accordingly.
  • Supervise the customer complaints process (investigations and reporting) and report results during the MBR, Quarterly Customer Satisfaction reviews. Identify and mitigate quality risks within SBU
  • In collaboration with the Field Operation Managers, track near misses that could have a quality impact, or OSS finished product and provide or insure that concrete solutions are implemented.


Increase the maturity and efficiency of the QMS and the quality network of the SBU:

  • Define the quality roadmap, coordinate the implementation of the actions plan and advice all quality stakeholders.
  • Plan and follow pluri-annual audit program (internal & outsourced, contribute to SBU industrial projects, including qualification of new tollers to include a Quality expertise and anticipate inclusion in the Quality network
  • Ensure that QA operations are consistent between the production plants of the SBU, starting from the RM qualification, ending to release of the Finished Products


Endorse SAP-QM BPO role:

  • Ensure a consistent use of the tool
  • Implement a resilient network of SAP QM central and local Key Users inside our factories, propose initiatives to use the available data in SAP-QM


Main Skills

Preferred profile

  • Proven high level leadership skills in a similar sector (chemical, pharmaceutical, animal feed or food) with a significant Board/senior management experience in a quality constraint sector
  • Demonstrate successful implementation of a QMS into an international company
  • Qualifications operational excellence tools (root cause tree, Quick-Kaizen, Ishikawa, 5S, 6 sigma…)
  • Experience of translating strategic goals into effective operational plans and working collaboratively and building effective partnerships
  • Work in a cross functional matrix in an international environment with cultural diversity.
  • Outstanding communication and people skills with understanding of customers’ needs and customers’ operations
  • Analyze complex information and make complex informed decisions
  • Fluent in English. French, Spanish or Chinese are a plus
  • Solid knowledge of (QA-QC module)
