Missions of the job

The Supply Chain Manager for production scheduling and procurement has a dual function. You will need to control the right execution of the production plan coming from the monthly Supply review and you will have to check the amount of the stock, the registration labels, raw materials and packaging materials and order them according to the need of the production planning.


Tasks and responsibilities

  • Ordering the necessary raw materials and packaging materials
  • You ensure that sales orders planned for production are ready for dispatch on time, in line with the MPS (mid-term planning)
  • You create production orders and update the planning
  • You check open and unsettled purchase orders
  • You ensure minimum stock levels of raw materials, packaging materials and finished products (MRP)
  • You pass on open purchase orders to the purchasing department and incoming orders to the warehouse and lab
  • You create picking lists for production orders
  • You manage the colleague responsible for labels and check the printed output
  • You liaise with the factory QC Manager in case of non-conformity on goods receipt, or in case of customer complaints on finished goods
  • Checking batch details and receipt of goods
  • You load freight documents into SAP after processing of the P.O.
  • You liaise with clearance agent, issue B/L’s
  • Booking of purchase orders for different warehouses, both in the Netherlands and Spain
  • You keep raw material files per item up to date with COA (per delivery), valid Msds Product Specification Sheet. Checking GMP+ certificates for validity and requesting the valid certificate if necessary
  • You process purchase invoices in Scansys for approval
  • You check open sales orders in cooperation with the customer service team
  • You are SPOC for new transport suppliers (annual requests and approval of transport prices)
  • You stay up-to-date with the new legislation concerning logistics
  • You are responsible for the people management of the supply chain team of 4 direct reports
  • You provide KPI’s as part of the plant dashboard

Main Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of comparable experience in a planning/scheduling/procurement position is required, even in other fields than Animal Nutrition
  • Quality sensitivity coming from previous experience (methods control, problem solving tool box, corrective plan implementation, training session deployment)
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Energetic, well-organized, self-Initiated and coordination skills
  • Good analytical and problem solving-ability to identify creative solutions
  • Good process understanding
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization
  • Ability to work under pressure, keeping quality in focus
  • Good knowledge of MS Office programs, mainly Excel
  • IT knowledge of SAP/ECC or 4HANA (Material Management, Production Planning) and Power BI
  • Minimum a bachelor degree (HBO) in logistics or supply chain is preferred
  • Fluent in Dutch and English in speaking and in writing
