The General Counsel F/M is responsible for delivering a business-focused legal and risk management service to the board, the EXCOM and all the stakeholders of Adisseo on a global perimeter. This position enables you to operate on a large scope of responsibilities as being accountable also for internal audit & control, insurance, compliance and finance sustainability. To help you on those missions, you can rely on a team of 7 people that are directly reporting to you.

Your main missions are the following ones:

• You provide both day to day and strategic legal advice and guidance to Adisseo’s management teams and business in relation to a wide variety of legal and regulatory issues including contracts, industrial affairs, commercial matters, litigations. You also manage the Governance aspects of Adisseo listed company in China and supervise the Board secretary of the listed company.
• You lead all the legal aspects of Mergers&Acquisitions across the Group such as financing and CAPEX investments projects as well as partnerships and business joint-ventures.
• As Chief compliance officer for the Group, you define a compliance program for the Group and ensure its implementation. You provide strategic business advice on initiatives and material agreements with customers and suppliers to ensure full compliance within the organization.
• You define an internal audit plan for the Group and coordinate the CSOX internal control process with the CSOX control owners throughout the Group and ensure its performance.
• Besides, you also act as a Finance Sustainibility Leader within Adisseo. In this respect, you work on finance-related sustainability matters (extra-financial reporting, ESG rating…) in close collaboration with the Sustainability committee.

Main Skills

You are a fully qualified lawyer with at least 10 years of experience acquired in both a law firm and in the legal department of an international company. You have experience in providing counsel to senior business leaders and shareholders and have already experienced cross-functionally environment with multiple stakeholders. You are fluent in English.

You have good communication skills with a good ability to create a strong relationship and partner with the business teams. You are customer oriented with a good ability to analyze issues and propose legally and commercially viable solutions. You are agile and know how to influence key stakeholders and be an agent for change.
