Missions of the job
For our European sales department at Adisseo, we are looking for a Credit Manager to strengthen our finance team. You will work closely with sales and customer service departments to resolve issues and improve the customer satisfaction and with other finance teams to optimize credit processes.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Business Performance Manager.
Tasks and responsibilities
Collections (France):
- Follow up and manage a portfolio of clients with outstanding payments
- Establish regular contact with clients via phone or mail to remind them of overdue payments
- Negotiate payment plans or financial arrangements with clients in difficulties
- Keep client files updated and document all interactions in the management system
- Work closely with sales and customer service departments to resolve disputes and improve customer satisfaction
- Check blocked orders
Credit management (Europe, including France):
- Assess creditworthiness of clients and review/set credit limits
- Monitor customer accounts and outstanding credit
- Implement collection procedures for overdue payments
- Challenge local entities on DSO & Overdue performance
- Provide trainings & support to local credit contacts (mainly local Finance Managers)
- Ensure credit policy compliance
Financial analysis:
- Analyze clients’ financial statements to evaluate risks
- Prepare detailed credit reports for credit limit approval & decision making
Coordination and reporting:
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams to optimize credit processes
- Collaboration with Group Credit Management
- Ensure compliance with COFACE credit limits
- Bank relations on Letters of Credit
- Role compliance coordinator for France during the process au CSOX audit
Main Skills
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Proficiency in credit management tools and financial software
- In-depth knowledge of financial analysis and collection techniques
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and Power BI
- Good knowledge of Trade finance, payment instrument, Credit Management, Credit Insurance
SOFT SKILLS
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Negotiation and analytical skills; Rigorous
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in finance & accounting, international trade or a related field
- Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar role
- Credit management certification (AFDCC) is a plus
