After the great succes of the first Rhodimet Research Grant (2006), with 34 proposals recevied from worldwide research teams, we have decided to launch the second Rhodimet Research Grant in 2008.

The purpose

Rhodimet Research Grant’s 2008-2010 purpose is to reward the most promising research projects in the area of sulphur amino acids and its analogs. The grant is intended to support the successful candidates to begin or complete their research into amino acids, in order to contribute to the improvement of animal nutrition in the area of methionine.

Adisseo thus intends to build a real scientific community around research into methionine and establish a dynamic process to regularly offer innovations and new developments to the animal nutrition industry.

The Grant

This 230,000 USD grant will support 3 to 5 one to two year Research Programs dedicated to Basic or Applied science on sulphur-containing amino acids and their analogs.

The Research fields

Rhodimet Research Grant 2008-2010 proposals should focus on Basic or Applied research programs on :

• Methionine and Health : from metabolic to physiological and microbial effects.
• Methionine and Environment : from better recommandations to reduce environment pollution to improve sustainability.

The applications

The Rhodimet Research Grant 2008-2010 opened to applicants from any country from April to June 2008. To apply, candidates must hold at least a PhD and be able to prove they belong to and work as a researcher in an officially recognized Research institute. The infrastructure of these Research institutes or universities must be sufficient to accommodate the research projects proposed through to completion and provide their candidate with adequate support to pursue their work.
